Firefighter Tim Salo began his career with the Byron Fire Department in January of 1992 as a paid on call firefighter. In 1994 he accepted a full time position with the department and was promoted to Lieutenant on February 27th 2006 and is in charge of "A" Shift. Tim is a Paramedic, Fire Officer II, Firefighter 3, Fire Apparatus Engineer, Master Diver, Instructor II, BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, member of vertical rescue team, and a member of the auto extrication team. Tim, along with his wife Shelly have three children, Andrew, Aaron  and  Ashton. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, golf, softball, and following his children to all they're sporting events.
