
Terry joined the department as
a paid-on-call firefighter on March 27,1987. He was employed as a
telecommunicator on July 1,1987. He has received certifications as EMT-A, EMT-I,
PALS, ACLS, PHTLS, FF II, FF III, emergency medical dispatcher, and is
currently employed as a civilian Paramedic.
Terry is a lifelong Byron resident
graduating from Byron High School in 1985 and then attending Kishwaukee
Community College where he received his Associate of Applied Science in
Agribusiness with an emphasis in livestock production in 1987.
Terry and his wife Pam have 5
children; Tim, Matthew, Tara, Taylor, and Ryan. Pam is employed at the Byron
High School. Terry
and Pam also deliver papers for the Rockford Register Star. They are
extremely active in 4-H and multiple sheep organizations across the country.
In their spare time they manage a 100 ewe
flock of show quality sheep. They enjoy the fair season, NASCAR, antique farm
machinery, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and spending time with friends and
family.
