Chris began his career in August of 1985 as a POC. He was hired full-time in March of 1986 and was promoted to Lieutenant on December 30th 2007. He has been a paramedic since October 1988. He is currently a certified Fire Officer II, Fire Investigator, and Firefighter III. Chris holds an Associates Degree in Fire Science from Rock Valley College. Chris is also published in the annual printing of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges” national directory for 2004. He has been a member of the Water Rescue and Recovery Team since 1986, and has been a member of the Combat Challenge Team and has competed in the World Finals since 1993. He is an active member of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance. Chris represents the department at the annual "Burn Camp: for kids who are burn survivors. He has attended the Burn Camp since 1991. Chris has worked as a Paramedic for Lifeline Helicopter and is currently working as a communication specialist in MedComm and as a Paramedic with LifeLine Ambulance for Saint Anthony Hospital. On his off time he enjoys golf and other sports activities. His family includes his young daughter Kya Renee, his parents who live in Byron and an older brother who lives in California.
